In Ostrava, in the Dolní Vítkovice area, a food and drink festival is held on the weekend of May 5 - 6. At the industrial site, visitors can try out unusual regional and international dishes prepared by local restaurants and top Czech chefs. New at this festival will be an attractive stage that will be set up so that the visitors can watch the chefs right at their hands and will not miss any detail of their food preparation.

The Garden Food Festival will be moderated by the actress and great presenter Markéta Hrubešová along with the Ostrava-Belgian chef David Girten. The main show at the festival will be a chef's duel of two excellent chefs, namely Radek Kašpárka and Jan Punčochář. Other great chefs such as David Valíček from Ostrava Food Atelier or Pavel Sapík from U Zlaté studně restaurant will be present at the Garden Food Festival. The currency used at the festival is a mistake. These can be bought for Czech crowns and for the euro, 10 mistakes cost 10 euro / 250 CZK. The festival is open to visitors for 100, - CZK or 350, - CZK (entrance with 10 mistakes), on Saturdays from 10:00 to 19:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
